Not to state the obvious, but none of them were sent to a terrorist prison in El Salvador. They all had lawyers, indictment by grand jury, a trial or a guilty plea where a judge ensured it was knowing & voluntary & access to an appeals process. In other words, all the hallmarks of due process.

The White House basically gave Boasberg no choice. And unless they start cooperating very quickly, possibly even if they do, they’re looking at criminal contempt like a freight train. That’s going to raise some tricky issues of penalty, but the underlying finding should be secure. What total jerks.
If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.
The televised Oval Office meeting with Bukele is mockery. They’re mocking the press, their opposition, the courts, and the entire concept of justice. They’re mocking everyone who isn’t them. The abuser’s playbook yet again.
How about we start treating people like people? Is that too much to ask?
This can’t happen soon enough. He’s an aspiring, modern-day Heinrich Himmler.

With the Trump-Rubio policy that any foreigner can be detained indefinitely for no reason, and then deported to wherever they feel like, you would have to be nuts to travel, study, or set up business operations in the U.S. Guess they don't care about jobs and the economy.
Seems pretty fascism-y
