I also tend to think they value Israel (and antisemitism) as a tool crack down on any internal dissent, as well as use it as a proxy for their own genocidal jerk off war fantasies.

It speaks to a serious cultural problem in America that we have all these U.S. citizens who clearly care more about said small country in the middle east than their own country in which they actually live. It's a weird dynamic to put it mildly.
