Warrior Cats question: Some cats are described as having a "shredded" ear, but wouldn't that affect their hearing? Cat ears are shaped like that to pick up more noises, but I feel like the books don't address how a cat's hearing would be changed when an ear is that badly damaged.

Warrior Cats question because I'm not caught up on all of the books: Did we ever find out who gave Squirrelstar her nine lives, or is that still being held off until some future book? Because that seems like a pretty important detail in her life to just drop and never talk about.

What's your favorite "The Hunters forgot their own lore" moment in Warrior Cats? Things like how they forgot someone died previously, who mentored who, or who was related to who and things like that.

Although they since established that cats who die a second time are "a part of nature" and they're not really gone. So I like to think that he's still there, but he's free of the Dark Forest now, running free and being one with the world and all that.

The fact that they killed his spirit was not only unnecessary, but they way they did it looked to me like Firestar had a grudge against Darkstripe since the beginning and took the opportunity to make that one final attack because of that grudge.

I've been saying the same thing. The Broken Code arc presented them with the perfect opportunity to have him start off by helping Bramblestar, the son of Tigerstar, and then pivot that into a complete redemption arc where he finally realizes and accepts that Tigerstar was really a villain. But no. 😞

Always thought it was funny in Warrior Cats the clan cats say kittypets are soft and weak, even though there's multiple instances of kittypets kicking the asses of entire patrols of warriors. They really started the kittypet hate because they were mad at Pinestar, didn't they?

My only regret is someone beat me to putting this in the pixel slot. I got there right at midnight but it was already changed. 😢

Bluestar's Prophecy will always drive me up a wall like what do you mean you introduced an entire cast of new and completely unrelated characters only to have a small handful of them have children and consequently retcon everyone in the first arc to be directly related?

Sometimes, I'll be playing around with drawing and how I want to develop my art style and I suddenly come up with a random new character.

This is also assuming current Warriors arc timeline. Since Ruby & Socks are around the same age as Mistystar (maybe a little older?), they're more than likely no longer alive. So I wanted to explore the idea of their theoretical grandkits & how they might interact with the clans.

I wanted to design them as looking somewhat similar to Ruby and Socks, but I don't want them to look EXACTLY like them. So I changed things like the eye colors and fur markings to give them their own unique look.

I'm just figuring some designs for them right now, the only theory I have about them is that they stay close to each other after learning about how their grandparents rejected Tiny/Scourge and were later rejected by their twolegs. So they have a moral code about helping others.

Playing around with a Warrior Cats AU/Headcanon that after Scourge kicks them out of Bloodclan, Ruby and Socks managed to survive, find mates of their own, and have kits and later grandkits.

I realized after I posted this that I accidentally lightened Tigerstar in the fourth panel when I was attempting to lighten the backgrounds. (Backgrounds were too dark when 50% of the characters are also dark.)

I want to see Warrior Cats have either an arc or at least a subplot where a dog/pack of dogs helps the clans. We already had Millie speaking to dogs, why not have a dog who was raised with cats or something and learned how to speak to them?

Thoughts about the new version:

- I think I improved making Pineconeshimmer and Potatoroll fit the image I have in my mind

- Darkfur's coloring/markings fit how I thought of him better, though I imagine him darker

-I still have to work on making Petalcloud look intimidating

What if there was a prequel book to Mapleshade's Vengeance? Maybe have the perspective shift between Mapleshade and Appledusk. We could see how they met and fell in love, but with the tragic romance angle because we already know how their stories end.

I couldn't fit this in the previous post, but here's Moonpaw to add to my 2024 Warrior Cats portfolio.

Looking back at 2024, I feel like this is the first time in my life where I felt motivated to get serious about my art and improving my style. I still have a long way to improve, but hopefully in 2025, I'll be making Warrior Cats and OCs like the best of 'em!
