Current read: CHANGELOG by Rich Larson. Such a great short story collection! I am a fan.

People often wonder how writers come up ideas but really my actual challenge as a writer is not getting distracted from my current idea by some shiny new idea.

*sees some moss*

FORGET THE #WIP, time to write MOSS DRAGONS!

But maybe they could have a tiny role? Pretty please. Part of the setting. ❤️

I can relate to this so hard. 😳

Ideas are easy. They are everywhere. You can mash them together and give them a new spin. Endless possibilities.

If I could just stick to one project and not go chase five new ones. 😭😭😭

Look at these pretty flowers spotted in Málaga! Half pink, half yellow. Nature is so creative.

El Torcal is a fabulous place to hike. Strange rocks and breathtaking views. I bet it looks like a different planet after dark. I definitely want to go back.

A road trip! We stopped for a short hike at Mirador del Guarda Forestal on the way to El Torcal. Such interesting rock formations!

A road trip to Ronda. The bridge is spectacular. The photos don’t do it justice.

A short trip to Málaga in between two work events. I never pass up an opportunity to travel and explore other places. Travel is good for the soul.

I often see posts saying name an author who you've read 5 books by.

I'm interested in short stories. So how about, name an author you've read 3 short stories by?

Also, the stories have to be published in the last 10 years.

Also, don't say me. 😂

And yet, it feels important to at least aim for hopeful these days… 😖

I feel the same way about writing hopeful vs. dystopian speculative fiction. Hopeful requires extra effort. Dystopia comes more naturally. 😳😬
