Why does American sound so normal through speakers and so weird in person?
As a long time YouTube enjoyer, most of the creators I follow speak American, but I also lived in England for 11 years. Every time I've heard someone speak American in person it felt so new.
There are many examples out there of great looking media, but because of flat storytelling or other shortcomings, we don't even remember them.

It was about Miyazaki's directing and story telling that made the Ghibli style so iconic. And, of course the entire team putting in the human part into the animation, composers writing music that is just right at just the right moment, voice actors that brought beloved characters to life.
Recent 'Ghibli style', regurgitation shows, that people really don't understand where the value in that style is or why it works. It was never just about the visual.
Still waiting for AI to do something really useful instead of replicating human art, just worse.
