The past two days we've encountered a surge of traffic that appears to be non-targeted spambots. This has caused a significant performance hit for all users. I've banned a number of accounts participating in this behavior, and additionally added new security rules and captchas as a long-term fix.

We also take all posts from a handful of official event accounts.
