#Waitrose #SweetChiliSauce bottle has shrunk significantly. They think we don’t notice! The newest one is on the left.

The Deregulation Conspiracy: How Labour Quietly Continues the Tory Brexit Agenda While you were looking elsewhere, Labour embraced Jacob Rees-Mogg’s deregulatory vision

My latest article on Substack explores Starmer's rebranding of Jacob Rees-Moggs post-Brexit REUL Bill. Starmer's government has gone even further than Mogg did.
No one voted for this. The UK is being privatised.

Amid all the fuss, remember that for much of the 1960s and 1970s, "the Spare" Andrew Windsor was just one unfortunate incident away from being the next king.

Hopefully, this appalling saga will lead to a proper national debate on our hereditary monarchy.

Long, long overdue.

When benefits are denied by data not humans: In a botched 'crackdown' on benefit fraud, a woman who booked a flight from London to Oslo but never got on the plane had her child benefit stopped by the UK government - because she didn't 'return'. HMRC told her their records showed she had emigrated!

Nigel Farage loses major vote as he's accused of 'making career by damaging UK' Nigel Farage's call for the UK to leave the European Convention for Human Rights (ECHR) was voted down by MPs, with Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey branding it "un-British"

Farage gets voted down on leaving the ECHR… for now.
Ed Davey quite rightly tears a strip off him.

But really, the corrupt leader of a racist party threatening to remove our protection from abuses of power by our own government, should be the biggest red flag going.

What Reeves and Starmer know but are not telling you is why they won't rejoin the EU, because Brexit put up an EU barrier in the form of 12 Freeports, 74 SEZs, and AI Growth Zones (200 bids on sites so far).

Reform expels three more councillors for ‘dishonest and deceptive’ behaviour Reform UK has expelled another three county councillors from the party this afternoon after a meeting called by its KCC leader.

It’s hard to believe but Reform has expelled another *three* councillors from their #Kent County Council group….for dishonesty and deceptive behaviour.

Totally unfit to lead a major authority.

Is the UK addicted to “full independent inquiries”? Does it really take a years-long process costing millions to say it was a mistake to release Hadush Kebatu on Friday? Wouldn’t a faster internal process into what went wrong allow the government to *fix* it faster?

And his genius answer to the economic slump he helped to create? More austerity. Spending cuts are his only suggestion. Nothing on Brexit. Nothing on immigration. Nothing on infrastructure projects. More Tory-style punishment beatings and hard wired aversion to tax rises. Tedious blinkered garbage.
