All in all it was a story worth reading (beware of the trigger warnings though) and even if it didn't have my personal ideal ending it doesn't change the fact that the MC is so easy to empathize with that you genuinely root and hope for him to be happy and heal throughout the story

In my brain they were the end game ...which naturally didn't happen ...but I am happy in the end they both got some sort of closure that allowed them to move on from the past

Honestly this was the point in the story where my brain went "a happy ending isn't enough, revenge isn't enough, I want him to start shooting people"

One of the things I love about the story is how the author kept on showing that kindness with string attached is not kindness at all but manipulation

This part also was not only deeply relatable but I also loved how throughout the story, the MC managed to always be aware of how people actually perceive him, but never became a pushover despite backstory and circumstances

This was another one of those moments where the author came for my throat because it was one of the moments where one way or another, even if the context are way different, you can't help but empathize with the MC in the most heart rendering way

Really loved how right at the climax of the story the MC knows he's fast tracking to the ending of their relationship but still due to his hurt he can't bring himself to prevent it. It felt very realistic to me

Loved how the MLI was "I'm not just a bad bitch, I'm a bad bitch with a backstory" but ngl the catholic guilt hit me like a bat out of nowhere.

Not going to lie but this was the moment I started disliking the MLI as a possible happy ending route for the MC. I kept ping-pong-it between "just give them a delusional happy ending" and "yeah no dude f off"

The story is a pretty serious one as it deals with childhood trauma, abuse, being outed and the aftermath of it but it also has scenes like this that simply cracked me up
