Matt Martin (47th), and researched by Police District Council members, could start as early as this winter.

Great meeting last night from the 19th District Police Council, and a great example of how good data leads to good policy - did you know 10% of all 911 calls are about parking enforcement? Our councillors are working to move the response from CPD to the City Dept of Finance (1/2)

And that (along with a million other reasons) is why I'm running for state representative. To make Chicago & Illinois a more affordable, accessible, and just city and state - for everyone.

We need people in office who understand the physical impacts of the digital world, whether that is on climate, on energy bills, on gig workers, or on people of my and younger generations. We need renters, we need people who know what's cheapest at which grocery stores. (4/x)

I'll bring down energy bills by bringing more clean energy onto our power grid, and making sure folks like you and me aren't bidding against massive power drains like AI data centers. (3/x)

In Springfield, I'll take on corporate landlords who rise rates with impunity. As a renter, I've experienced having to move when my rents were increased well beyond what I could afford. We cannot continue to limit our renter protections based on laws signed before I was born (2/x)

Chicago is already facing down this affordability crisis. Rising rents are forcing folks out of their neighborhoods, energy bills are increasing unchecked thanks both to ComEd and new AI data centers drawing from the power grid, and grocery prices keep rising. (1/x)

When big business and corporations try to screw over working Chicagoans, this is the response we need our elected officials to deliver.

We need folks in Springfield who will hold those like Manoj Prasad accountable, and make sure a situation like that at Weiss never happens again in our community.

My mom first came to the US on an H-1B in the '90s -- if this policy had been in place, I very likely would not be here.

Before he passed, my father struggled with housing insecurity brought on by issues with his mental and physical health. No one should have to go through what he did, and to see our government - at all levels - criminalizing people experiencing similar struggles is a shame.

This isn't how we should treat our neighbors, especially those doing whatever it takes to get by. In my campaign, I'm working hard to center the struggles faced by the growing number of unhoused people & those experiencing housing insecurity right here in Chicago.

Took a break from the doors to add another voice to the chorus.
