I mean, I can’t complain too much. I’m going to get a ton of great games, but all the February games have minis to paint. My Pile o’ Shame(tm) is going to start solidifying under its own weight.

You, sir, are the kind of cockeyed optimist that should definitely be playing Shadows of Brimstone. Only extreme optimists can say, with straight face, “I’ve grown a second head? Cool! Now I can wear two hats!”

You say that, but I always end up dead or mutated in Trederra despite their poor quality control.

Ha. Yes. It may have added an element I wouldn’t have thought of on my own! I am just grateful I didn’t have to spend half the week repainting the two affected models.

Before: miniature ruined with flaky haze from malfunctioning spray matte sealer.
After: I brushed on a couple of coats of Vallejo satin varnish and the result, while not perfect, has been salvaged for the tabletop.

Painting up a few “Slimes” I printed for tales From the Red Dragon Inn while I wait for my hazy matte sealer rescue attempt to dry. First time using transparent resin.

I am waiting on some brush on Vallejo semi-gloss from Amazon (FLGS was out). Supposedly, the re-coating will turn the whitened varnish clear again. Probably. Maybe. I hope.

Sometimes… shit happens. Was very proud of my paint job on these Trederran Dragonfire miniatures for Shadows of Brimstone. Then, my matte varnish spray turned white.

I always think I should paint up a gallows, but as much as I love Shadows of Brimstone there’s only one mission I’d need it for. Obviously, I need some more western games so I can justify it.

The Magma Giant took me so long to paint I swore I’d never paint another lava creature in my life. They look fantastic when done though.

Turbo Dork Twin Suns. Turbo Dork does outstanding color shift paints. Also useful for things like power swords, alien eyes, dark stone, etc.

Nomad Gecko for Infinity.

Another Work In Progress. A Nomad Gecko I bought from a friend. To be honest, I’ve been painting almost nothing but Nomads since the beginning of August so I hope this is the last red armor I paint for a long time.

It looks like they are glued to the flagstone-esque bases. Why not leave the docks/platforms on their own so they can be , uh, docks (over water)… or platforms?

Got a magnifier and it made me realize I needed better glasses, and better lighting… my $30 magnifier ended up costing me $180, but my painting got much better.

Look, you can’t live on miniature painting and games alone. Sometimes, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookies are called for.

Thank you! lol. I think they added that a few days ago. I was at a tournament on the 4th and everyone was staring at each other trying to figure out how to add our lists until one guy figured it out. Glad it’s “normal” again. :)

Working on a couple of Big’uns tonight. WIP - Nomads Lizard and GoPod.

Yes, but I still loathe having to go to my army list to attach it to an ITS event rather than going to the event to attach a list there.

As an Infinity player who also plays Warcrow, I miss my army lists for Warcrow. (Mostly because the print is soooo small on the cards.)

This is a fantastic idea for new players though. Especially if you can put some useful into with the skills.

I put down my paintbrush for awhile to design some terrain. I whomped up corner pieces in openSCAD and printed them out. Should work for MDF or foamcore. Holes for magnets, too. You’ll have to imagine some Greebles and a coat of paint.
