Das diskutieren Menschen, die beim Los Angeles Community Action Network (LACAN), die Erwerbsloseninitiative BASTA! aus Berlin, das selbstverwaltete migrantische Zentrum Project Shelter aus Frankfurt und die Arbeitslosenselbsthilfe Oldenburg (ALSO) aktiv sind. Sie berichten von ihrem Aktivismus, ihren Organisationsformen und ihrer alltäglichen Arbeit in Auseinandersetzung mit der Widersprüchlichkeit des "aktivierenden Sozialstaats" und den jüngsten rassistischen und armenfeindlichen Konjunkturen von Bürgergeldreform und Abschiebeoffensive in Deutschland bis hin zur massiven Kriminalisierung von Obdachlosigkeit und ICE-Razzien in den USA.
