So this weekend is supposed to be blistering hot in the A. Just a reminder to self... "You won't survive the underworld, behave accordingly". Hahaha ... but no really.

It's summer and therefore I thought traffic was supposed to be lighter. Ugh!

Ok so summer is literally here in GA. The last few days quickly reminded me why I love trees (shade) and the pool in the backyard... Not complaining, IJS.

Yesterday I made huancaina sauce and kept the seeds in it... oooh weee -spicy! So today I had it again for brunch. Ha!

What's your one thing you HAVE to do today? Me... doctor visit. I have rescheduled it at least 5 times... ugh.

Ok so any tips (besides being actively posting) to gain some connections here? I'm doing that great and I will TRY to do much better at posting. Tell me a little about you. I want to connect.

I still have so many friends in education. I cannot believe we are now in the last quarter of the year, that normally means standardized assessments and that's no fun... but otherwise dreaming of summer vacay is wonderful.

I'm living the consultant life so it's always an extra bonus when I visit schools to share my books.

Then I went to Japan... OMG it's literally another world. I absolutely LOVED the country. The people there are just like you think they are- respectful, cautious, and very quiet.

I'd say especially in Ambergris Caye, Belize...also other islands like PR and US Virgin Islands, etc. SLOW down and enjoy the ocean, breeze, sandy beaches, and just the total ambiance.

When choosing to relocate abroad, I believe (my 2 cents) that you have to have an open mind and be super flexible and patient. Most other countries do not operate in the hustle and bustle that we do here.

Belize is such a beautiful country. I spent most of my time on Ambergris Caye. San Pedro is such a vibrant place... the only part I don't love is that SOME immigrants / expats don't respect it and complain way too much.

This month has been an absolutely whirlwind... mostly because I have been traveling abroad.

I'm an educator, and have always been. I know there is always room for improvement, but I don't believe we should go backwards looking for it.

I worry about a lot... but the libraries is definitely on top of the list.

There's a lot going on in the USA... what keeps you up at night?

I've learned one thing about myself... either I fold the laundry as it is coming out of the dryer or it's three weeks later... UGH!

Is it just me or do you try to find ANYTHING else you might need to do just so you don't have to look at the laundry you have to fold?

So a consulting gig was canceled last minute. Do I get frustrated? Nope! (1) It's rescheduled and (2) I have LOTS to do. #gettingahead #mindset #gratitude
