Riggs: We all should be offended that our service members and their families are being targeted the way they are. The people who raise their hands to serve shouldn’t be first in line to lose their ballot just because they happen to be coming from a Democratic county. That’s just not right.

They had lawyers, trials, most were given pretrial release, allowed to testify in their own defense, got discovery, could call witnesses, could cross-examine witnesses, could present mitigation at sentencing, and had a right to appeal.
