Boys at my high school literally wore shirts that said “I love modest girls” — it was hell.

It's funny to think that my preference for urban living in areas with dense, mixed-used, walkable neighborhoods, multi-family housing, small businesses, and diversity probably stems from Sesame Street. Like an early education in Jane Jacob's urbanist theories.

Hey this isn't actually true Ian. The left advocates for kindness, empathy, understanding, honoring boundaries, helping others, supporting trans people and folks of color, demolishing capitalism, and not harassing women and befriending lots of them without agenda; all of which will get you laid.

this isn't true. progressives are not uniformly, but pretty broadly sex positive. there's been a ton of discussion of consent, sex work, ethical non monogamy—and of course the left is much, much more supportive of queer sexualities than the right. 1

The annoying thing about this is that women on the left are not at all silent on the subject of men getting laid.

We have been explicitly saying that we won’t fuck dudes with right wing views for years and the thing it has made men do is think we should have no rights.

Right, even if we are talking in the most serious framing here - ‘the left’ talks a lot about consent and talking about consent is literally talking about getting laid enthusiastically.

I don’t want to dunk on the guy b/c everyone already did. Maybe he meant liberal men specifically are having a hard time talking about sex w/o sliding into the manosphere? That may be true!
