First sorta run with the hagstrom bass. Running through a fender 212r guitar amp. Amp sounds better w bass than it does for guitar, but would still probably blow out speakers eventually if any louder lmao

Cuz I didnt wanna use an import spec pot. All electronics again are new, but otherwise are replicating what I generally saw in the pocket and cross referencing to the hagstrom guitar with 4 switches for where wires were missing/ ripped out. It was originally found next to a dumpster by my friend

Neck itself has no relief right now but needs it once it gets shimmed and then maybe a little lower on nut slots if I want, but otherwise would be in pretty good order! Switches are slightly wider than originals, but fit in same holes. Pot is bigger and with bigger shaft so had to bore hole a little

Had to remake the nut with a bone blank since its sorta a weird width and depth. Original was plastic and owner cut really low deep v cuts into it so strings would catch and also was too low to clear frets. Neck probably needs a shim to reduce string height towards bridge

Hagstrom bass from 1965 (ish) that I've finally mostly fixed after a good while of having it haha. Pickups are original, switches and electronics had to be otherwise replaced from previous owner destroying the toggles and the pot. Pot knob is original, og tuners.

I heard GTA VI is going to have crime in its story mode. Honestly revolutionary, I don't think anyone has ever had crime in a game before.

Nevermind, I hadn't researched to realize it's 100% a helium drive so worst of both. Way more expensive if I ever want to see the data, and basically no chance of cheesing even a smidgen of data before ruining it. Anyone have a "fun" way of bumping it to potentially free it for a few minutes lol

So in saying that it's a, if it's 1000-2000 for potential recovery, and it's an issue that can be even 10% chance of DIY success judt to get it to work long enough to load that 15gb or less to a new ssd I'd bite and want a route to try worst case yknow. If I havnt said already, havnt opened it

Data centers for recovery seem to start around 300 for even a 1tb drive, so my 7tb/16 seems horribly expensive in comparison. Let alone im really only needing at worst 100 gigs and at best honestly under 15 gigs of personal photos n videos n audio I care about

It got jostled/shaken a bit and pretty much been disconnected since besides plugging it in on a few trials to test internally vs with the enclosure adapter, the first time when it disconnected and now to get the sound. I assume something with the heads getting stuck but I'm ignorant to hdd hardware

Any data recovery or hard drive hardware experts out there able to suggest what part might be making this sound? I'm stubborn enough to open it and check myself, but don't want to until I consider my options lol.

Two pieces of unobtainium music gear i wanna get. The talker is expensive but you can find a handful. The studio vocalist ex practically doesn't exist used anymore. Both were like 100-200 bucks in early 2010s. Wish 10-13 year old me would've had a premonition and bought these used lol

Ever since Frontier bought out my area's internet years ago, every outage we've had is always >12 hrs. Longest being over 2 days. Monopolized internet is so fun! Especially with whole family doing work from home!

Honestly no shade to not liking guitar center. I have gone to try some stuff and get online on many occasions

Weighted with basic sounds new probably around the 300-450 at cheapest if you get a deal. I havnt seen any with midi and weighted and sounds around that price range. Then towards upper 100s you can get entry combined of everything (basic sounds) or used with all buckets mostly checked on older units

Last thing which hopefully I'm not explaining what you already know, but price, weighted, sounds, and midi all kinda exist in separate buckets until you're a bit up there in price. Unweighted midi keyboards that play sounds through a daw (logic/pro tools/ableton/fl) are waaaay more affordable
