Chicago and Illinois leadership is taking a strong stand against Trump sending troops to Chicago.

IQ 45 has now threatened to send troops to Chicago. I remember when he tried to have a campaign rally here. It did not go well for him. This statement if from my Illinois state representative.

It would be laughable in another time. Now it's ludicrous, sad, disgusting, and pathetic!

Outside of the Governor's mansion in Illinois today. ICE Barbie was supposed to be there to berate us for our sanctuary status. But, due to protesters, she chose elsewhere. Our Sec of State slowed up instead to encourage protesters and to reiterate that Illinois stands strong against Trump policies.

This is getting fewer headlines than it should. After coming to power promising to help working people, the president is revealing his real priorities by actively making it easier for banks to rip people off.

I see it. I have lived it. 83 years ago, the U.S. government turned upon a group of its own citizens and residents and sent them to internment camps without due process. I was there among them. American fascism is back. It is here. It is now.

By defying the Supreme Court’s order to return Abrego Garcia from El Salvador, Trump is laying the groundwork to do the same to U.S. citizens.

Now is the time to speak out — before there is no one left to speak.

We are on a path towards dictatorship.
