An act is only a crime if the government decides to prosecute it.

Lying to Congress is no longer a crime.

Kidnapping people without a warrant or even identifying oneself is no longer a crime.

Killing Americans who are exercising their 1st and 2nd Amendment rights is not a crime when ICE does it.

This is from last week, but worth noting because district judges outright saying they don't believe the government will compy with court orders is not something you should ever have to see.
