My optimism about our ability to save our democracy comes from my experience. No matter how broken or bruised our democracy is today, I have seen it work and I know it can work again. I have seen the power of collective action. I know it can save us now.

House republicans fled DC to protect a pedophile. Texas democrats fled the state to protect democracy. The two sides couldn’t be more different.

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
