Omg I posted the SAME! I walked up to the Avenue by myself to watch and was overwhelmed on the way there by all the costumed littles, and their parents!, on their way too. Called one of my college students to say ‘remember when’???!!!

That child STOLE THE SHOW!! The hand wave, the tilting head to the crowd, the small smile. We were all smitten in the crowd where I stood.

Completely agree! Some really fantastic artists. A few booths I walked into and lingered in front of pieces like I was at a museum. Esp loved Rayhart, Ivan Pesci and Tracie Griffith Tso.

On my fourth teen driver now and I’ve gotta say, I feel terrible for kids learning to drive these days. Drivers are INSANE! Impatient, aggressive, privileged. Drivers don’t give a shit about the placard. Sit one second too long before right on red and they’re laying on the goddamn horn like WAH!

That would make sense. I started the morning driving past ICE agents standing over a guy on the sidewalk out front of the Amtrak Station by the Masonic Temple, his delivery truck pulled over. So the helicopter felt like more of the same immigrant menacing.

I think one visited my trumpet vine this morning, but I was on the other side of the garden and didn’t want to get too close and spook it. Watched from afar as it feasted from the final remaining blooms then flew off to bigger and better.

Once upon a time I watched a guy rogue clip the hanging cherry blossom trees because he didn’t like how they swept the ground. This looks about as pro a job as that, so methinks it’s the same character.
