I kinda just want to pay people to create/make things now.
If I set aside a budget to hire 2-3 people every month to make something that they enjoy and then make some sort of free newsletter or something to amplify it… that’ll probably fix a lot of my mental deficiencies.

Agreed, all of the economic and social issues are hard to negate, but any step in the right direction is a good step at this point. Especially if your current workflow benefits from using an LLM, because time is a resource you can’t get more of.
I’m liking the CLI integration of Ollama in Linux, but I’m told LM Studio is the easiest for a local chatbot and offers a server mode also. Ollama doesn’t support Intel on Linux yet from what I’ve found so I’ll be playing around with both for a bit before I decide.
Still doing more research into what other options are out there for negating the negative impacts of this kind of tech.
I learned today that Ollama and LM Studio are two options you can run at home if you do get benefits from using LLMs and have the means to run them locally without putting any impact on your local power grid or increasing your own personal costs.
I skipped my ADHD, anti-anxiety, and antidepressants today. Instead I’ve been doing shots of NyQuil.
This is like day 5 of being sick and it’s by far the worst day so far.
