I love all these!

The second you leave this country for even a few days, you realize the place you call home is decaying at an almost exponential pace. The realization that you don't have to live like this is stark, and that nobody in power is taking tangible actions to fix it in your lifetime is even starker.

This is a great story about game dev and burnout and really everyone should read it.

I loved Onslaught and at the time I thought for sure we'd see other games with that mode's structure.

I think that like all large corporations that buy smaller companies, their goal is to slowly dismantle everything until there's nothing left except the Alamo Drafthouse "brand", attached to nothing, so they have a saleable asset that requires no upkeep.

I think the press is not talking enough about how the real reason Alamo implemented the new phone ordering system is so they can lay off more workers. Like, yeah it's antithetical to the Drafthouse vibe but I don't think that's the biggest issue here.

ICE is a state funded terrorist organization and they are killing American citizens. There’s no other way to slice it. If you support this administration and these fuckin chuds you’re a fascist loser.

A Democratic Party that reflected the values of its base would put this into its national platform: "Anyone who supports funding DHS and ICE is supporting the murder of Americans."

Here's something to think about re: how ICE/CPB/etc. is operating.

It's the same as they have for years now. People have been loudly opposing their operations this whole time. Only now it's concentrated, and very blatantly in the open, and white people have died. That's the only difference.

Protect those being persecuted, from yourself Well-meaning people can cause real harm. DON'T • Share raid rumors without verification. • Post locations, schedules, or identifying details. • Pressure undocumented people to "tell their story." DO • Ask: Does this increase their risk? • Default to privacy over visibility.
