Sorry, who are you?
28.07.2025 11:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm not providing any details to any of these companies. I have no idea who they are or what they will do with my details or face. It's draconian and designed to control under the guise of "protect the children"
28.07.2025 11:43 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Expect the same outcome from me as well
28.07.2025 11:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Twitter hasn't blocked my DMs, nor has Instagram. Blocking me from accessing DMs is just ludicrous
28.07.2025 11:10 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So it appears that @bsky.app have gone to the lengths of blocking my access to my DMs because of this ridiculous Online Safety Act unless I do the age verification thing.
Blocking access to DMs unless I prove I'm 18+ is ridiculous, so I shall not be posting on here anymore
And that's it! 5 amazing days on the rails, over 2500 miles covered, an amazing rail tour at the weekend, and followed by 3 superb days on the ECML!
Back to the grind tomorrow, but I'm sure I'll find a bit of time to start to plan my August adventures ๐
Timed my arrival into Donny perfectly to see a shiny 66091 with its new "accurascale" name on show.
Then it was to Peterborough behind 91111 for the first time to get that in the book as well ๐
Couple of sheds finished the day off before the trek back to Stafford
Back to Peterborough I went but this time spied some of the lesser seen units there with 755414 waiting to head to Colchester and 379025 having terminated from King's Cross & waiting to go onto the carriage sidings.
Then 91109 finally went into the book ๐ฅณ ๐
A short break at Grantham earlier having taken a required 802302 for a hop from Doncaster!
802304 heading for Beverley
221142 on a Bradford to London
800110 on a late running Aberdeen to King's Cross
91114 was back for some more haulage, a run to Doncaster taking it to nearly 500 miles over the last 3 days.
801228 stabled & waiting to work a London train!
Having seen it earlier at Peterborough, 66525 caught me up at Donny whilst heading to Leeds FLT.
91111 and 801201 lining up at Peterborough earlier!
66732 on containers to Birch Coppice.
66570 taking its load to London Gateway.
The "gold one" 66301 passing through just as I boarded my next train with a working to Tinsley
After Derby, it was over to Doncaster on my penultimate 221 Voyager for haulage!
The usual units were on offer, with 333016 arriving from Leeds, 803001 heading to the capital, and 180106 following to Kings Cross
Obviously, Derby churned up some good stuff again!
A nicely paired lineup of Meridians as 102 and 103 came side by side.
The HSTs were back out to play as 43357 and 43272 were back on the RTC to RTC circuit
66715 working the Doncaster to Stoke light engine move again
Final day of my 3 day East Mids Rover today as I better show my face back at work, at least so they know I still need to be paid ๐
350259 took me to Tamworth, where I spied 730204 on test before 170104, took me over to Derby
Off the scale arty shot from last night when I happened to spend an hour at Nuneaton waiting for my train home ๐ด
I have to give credit to whoever is maintaining the flower beds at the station!
350263 in the background, waiting to work the final stopper to Crewe
66005 pausing at Peterborough for a crew change earlier after we faced a slight deluge from the clouds
22.07.2025 21:23 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 091101 was my final 91 action for the day with a very spirited run to Peterborough!
A big & long London unit was waiting there, plus I got to see 66501 in its new livery
After my brief stint at Grantham, 801104 whisked me away from some foreboding skies, back to Grantham in time for the same locos on the same workings as yesterday - 66108 on the Tesco & yes, 66729 heading to Wakefield ๐๐
Plus an Azuma race with 801220 passing 800104
What an unplanned visit to Grantham did allow was some photting at a photting friendly location!
170419 on a skeggy
180103 heading for Bradford
801229 rounds the curve heading towards London
801204 passing fast en route to Edinburgh
Nothing has ran to time today so unsurprisingly I failed to make my +5 onto 91101. We did start to claw back lost time until the signaller inexplicably signal checked us at Tallington & ruined any chance. So with 91101 gone, I took required 800208 up to Grantham......
22.07.2025 18:53 โ ๐ 7 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I was whisked back north by 91124 having had my layover at Peterborough but only briefly long enough to snap 66425 which had appeared in the West Yard before "Eleanor" liveried 801225 took me back south to try and meet my tightest connection of the day.......
22.07.2025 18:48 โ ๐ 10 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0My attempt at photography artwork for today........
22.07.2025 18:43 โ ๐ 16 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Having spent a good chunk of yesterday being powered by 91114, it was my first 91 of the day today!
Peterborough then churned up the usual plethora of sheds and containers
They do the same job but couldn't be any different!
333002 and 91106 look on as Azuma 801230 departs Doncaster earlier today
More locos on show at Doncaster as well with 37422 & 37425 sat at either end of a test train recessed in the West Yard plus 66712 passing through with a working from Hull Coal Terminal to Doncaster Decoy Yards
22.07.2025 12:02 โ ๐ 11 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Loco action at Derby earlier as 43357 & 43272 popped out of the RTC to go on a roam around for the day before 66307 passed by on a Doncaster Decoy to Stoke-on-Trent working
22.07.2025 11:51 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I'm now working on the presumption that work no longer needs me, so I've decided to hit the rails again ๐
Today's starters were 350113 for a run to Tamworth, followed by a very cosy 170114 to take me into Derby
The Sprinters of Doncaster and Peterborough yesterday!
150211 on an Adwick
158869 waiting to venture to Hull
158783 departs Peterborough for Liverpool
150204 having just terminated at Doncaster having come from Scunthorpe
I think this is my fave shot of today. Not the greatest traction we will ever see in this country but photogenic nonetheless, and particularly when approaching Doncaster under the tangled mess of the ECML overheard wires
21.07.2025 20:57 โ ๐ 12 ๐ 2 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I raced across to P8 at Donny for a passing freight working and would you believe what loco it was ๐ค๐ก
Yep, 66729 "Derby County" (๐คฎ) at the head of containers for Wakefield Europort and crawling through at a pace you'd expect of Derby's wingers ๐
