As someone on the spectrum, I can tell you, people don't want unapologetically weird, they want socially acceptable quirky.

Coworkers are talking about their worries that someone might commit a mass shooting at the local furcon. Of course, they follow it up with jokes that "Well they're animals, so is it really wrong to hunt them?"
