I commented after watching the movie, that Tae is a badass, but tbh every member of Franchouchou looks so cool/badass (especially in the first cut).

Currently there are some Franchouchou outfits on display at the museum. It happens to be the same location where a similar outfit exhibit is shown in the movie (though there are a few more outfits there in the movie version).

Those two cuts from the "Saga Discovery Zone" however match 1:1 with the real life exhibits (except Saki, it's actually Tae standing there in the movie).

The exhibit in the "Space Discovery Zone" looks a bit different in real life.

The observatory and the planetarium are also located there. Those are (unlike the rest of the museum) no-photo areas, so no pictures. The observatory was closed during my visit, but the planetarium matches what you see in the movie.

The next important location in the movie is the Saga Prefectural Space & Science Museum.
Something involving the aliens happens here.
Maria's father hides behind the elevator shaft. Saki gets thrown into the cafeteria area.

There might have been a cut showing the entrance too. Takeo Onsen Shinkan was build in the Taisho era and is listed as an Important National Cultural Property.

The planning meeting takes place on the second floor of Shinkan. There was one scene where Franchouchou's members (minus Tae) discuss how they can help with the plan in one of the old baths.
The last image was taken outside, to the right of the entrance.

The Shinkan building in Takeo Onsen also makes an appearance.

I continued my stage exploration yesterday. At Takeo Onsen Romon Gate our favourite zombie idols split up to implement the plan to save Saga.

Guilty as charged. 😀 So far 14 days was my shortest trip. It makes little sense to stay less than 2 weeks with the long flight halfway around the globe.

Not sure the location for Tae's cover in Minnano-koen in Kohoku is a particularly good one. Who puts a manhole in the middle of a playground? Had to unearth her to take the photo.

Somehow forgot to post Junko's cover in front of Imari station yesterday (sorry there are just too many). The Saki manhole cover is located in Imari too, right in front of Drive-in Tori.
Sakura is from Arita and Ai from Omachi.

Tbh, I think the place still is a bit desolate. Visited after the morning rush hour in spring and almost no one was there. As long as you don't shove your camera into someone's face, I think you're ok. But that is the bare minimum of what's considered good manners anyway.

A few more from yesterday. The first one is the second new one at Saga Arena/Sunrise Park. I almost missed it. 😅

The rice terraces in Hamanoura depicted on Yugiris manhole cover probably look really nice during sunset in early summer. I will try visit again sometime.

This scene from the trailer is also supposed to be depicting Cape Hizen. I think the team made a small mistake here. The explosion would have happened in another direction in real life, so Sakura wouldn't be able to see it this close. That being said: It looks way cooler this way. 😂

Unfortunately this is as close as I could get to Cape Hizen on Kabeshima today. The road is currently closed because of construction work. I had a short talk with one of the workers and it seems like the road is open on weekends.
Tae and the cow already know each other from Season 2.

Another famous building that isn't spared is Lady Liberty at the Carboy Aikawa shop in Ogi.

Not sure I got the angle on the second photo right. I think the scene looked a bit more tilted to the right.

The background has changed a bit, but the "Eiffel Tower in Kanzaki City" it the one that gets destroyed in the movie.

These cuts involve the meeting of Maria and her friends, Franchouchou and an Alien.
It's the intersection of Saga Prefectural Roads 25 and 35 in Taku (thank you to ステルスだーはら-san for identifying and visiting this location so quickly).

Saga Sunrise Park and the Arena appear several times. One is a probably based on a drone shot or Google Maps showing the whole park. Two others show the entrance to Saga Arena. The stands appear in 1 or 2 cuts near the end of the movie. Don't remember which exits where used exactly. 😅

... Two others are located in Imari. "Imari Vision 01" in front of the station and "Imari Vision 02" at D2 Pachinko.

During the broadcast scene, several public screens are shown in the movie. I think one of them is the big screen on the south side of Saga station...

Also in Saga City, Balloon-dori is part of the Shotengai on Nagasaki Kaido.
The shop appeared in the cut following the first one with Balloon-dori. In the movie it looks like it is a shop in the Shotengai, but I couldn't find one with a (blue) awning there. So this is the closest I could find nearby

Impressive carp, looks almost like it is swimming through the air.

Visited Karatsu Kunchi for the first time. I liked the energetic atmosphere.

The Zombie House (Former Mitsubishi Karatsu Branch Office) looks more and more like an abandoned building. The City is currently looking for donations to restore it.
There are only a few days a year, when the public can go visit the little museum inside. The next visitors day will be this weekend.

Karatsu manhole covers
