Over 61 million women in the U.S. have experienced intimate partner violence in their lifetime, according to the CDC. Abuse is not rare and it is not always obvious to the person experiencing it. I hope she heals and finds peace with her beautiful baby.

This world needs more empathy and less judgmental commentary. I pray Halle, Halo, and Cassie have peace in their lives.

I felt stupid. I felt embarrassed. That’s part of it. Abusers manipulate you until you question your own judgment, then count on your shame to keep you quiet. Unless you’ve lived it or studied it, you have no idea how easy it is to miss until you’re already in too deep.

Terms like gaslighting, love bombing, and trauma bonding exist for a reason. These aren’t random behaviors, they’re patterns. You’re not better because it hasn’t happened to you, you’re just fortunate.

Seeing people blame Halle and Cassie for being in abusive relationships is exactly why survivors stay silent. I’ve been through it. And until you’ve lived it or studied the psychology behind it, you don’t realize how calculated it is.

I hope this app is more peaceful than X because all I saw were people who defended abusers and spewed hate every single day 😳
