The BEST science fiction and fantasy convention in the country. From the concom to the pros attending to the amazing fans to the town of Missoula against the back drop of the Rocky Mountains, just the best, seeing old friends, meeting new ones, more than once I heard someone say it’s like a family reunion and that says it perfectly. With the uncertainty of the new venue none of us knew what to expect, rest assured it will end up being the best of three venues the con has been at over the years. Special thanks to the chair Justin Barb and his staff , a well oiled machine. Author GOH Johnathan Mayberry said it perfectly at closing ceremonies, the hundreds of conventions he’s been at around the world, Miscon is now the gold standard, having been to hundreds of conventions myself, I agree. I got to spend the 5 days sharing a house with dear friends Todd Lockwood, Steven K Smith and Artist GOH Andy VanOverberghe, our clubhouse . Treated like gold by the con, special thanks to great friends Erin Truitt and his lovely wife Mishawna and Jason Rocheleau and his lady Diz. For great conversations ,amazing dinners and some exciting game design brainstorming with Erin, and so Hell or high water, I’ll be back !"

MisCon is officially over, but some items didn’t want to leave. If these items belong to you, please get a hold of me via DM or Court at volunteer@miscon.org and we will work to reunite you. We will only be holding onto these items until July 1st.

What a great con! MisCon 39 was a big success! Thank you to everyone who came out despite the cold and rain and parties with us. We'll see you next year for MisCon 40: The Upside-down!

Our panel of editors, including Author Guest of Honor Jonathan Maberry, and reps from Featured Publishers Fairwood Press, Hydra House Press, and Oneshi Press, will indicate when they'd stop reading if the submission had come across their desks. Then they'll tell us why.

Aspiring writers! Bring your first page to MisCon's annual First Page Idol. At the start of the panel, hand in the first page of your work. MisCon author Theresa Johnson Miller will randomly read submissions aloud for everyone to hear.

The Android app has been updated for this year! Our IT guy had intentions of rewriting it, but didn't have enough time, so it's the same old app we've had for almost 10 years with some minor tweaks.
