I applaud my veteran colleagues for standing by the Constitution and the rule of law. Trump’s call for the arrest and execution of elected officials who are simply upholding the law is a disgrace and should be condemned by every American.

The President of the United States just called for my arrest and execution.

In these moments, fear is contagious, but so is courage:

Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.
