So thoughts and monologues are two different things, but why is it that on the page I’ve shown it looks to be all monologue or all thoughts…?? I don’t think how people name certain bubble styles is something we should all go by necessarily?

Ok somebody tell their opinion on this because I’m always curious on what are the rules here…sometimes in mangas I’ll see the characters have inner monologue & the text would have no bubbles. But other times they do. But OTHER times they’ll be used at the same time?? How exactly are they used?…

Same! Like I know I don’t hate it but it’d be nice to know why the choice is being made?…I’m trying to figure out the significance of the changing bubbles because I want to at least give a rule to myself on when to use and when not to….self doubt & false belief does make sense though!

Yes I was thinking this too especially for parts that are clearly recalling a past event but that’s why I said it’s used as a composition choice or maybe even an aesthetic choice

I was also thinking maybe it’s used to segway the character that was alone in the scene to being in a room full of people around them but ehhh idk this character looks like she was in a room with others already? Maybe I answered my own question before though with the composition thing…

Now I’m thinking it doesn’t matter really because maybe it’s a composition/flow thing but when I’m making pages I like to keep it consistent to an extent but mixing it up like this is also fun to do but I’m thinking I could have just done it one way or the other if that makes sense?
