[Bombshell made it outside of the Autobot base. He shook himself to puff his plating slightly and hold more of the warm air inside to insulate against the cold, then deployed his wings and flew back to the Insecticon hive.

This sliver of a shard was not as big as the one he had given his Queen—

[Carefully, Bombshell began to scuttle farther into the vents, following the smell of fresh, snowy air outside]

[Having only just scurried into the vent before being spotted, Bombshell froze up in the shadows for a while and listened to the humans’ conversation.

He was worried about the sound of his steps, and also greedy to find even more pieces of the Allspark than this— but most of all wanted to escape]

If we play together as humans, then I will give you a flower crown.

Maybe I will make one… It could help us to find food and shards.

[Noise of the humans storming in scared Bombshell up onto the ceiling. He hung there upside down by his clawed altmode legs, but had the small Allspark sliver he’d sensed held securely in his mouth.

Quietly, he crawled towards the gnawed through grate to escape while the humans looked at the mess]

Bombshell as a human

Our Queen is amazing and beautiful!

[In the medbay, Bombshell was too focused on the smell of an AllSpark fragment so close to notice much else. He eat away at the cabinet base until the shelves above began to sway away from the wall from lack of support.

It all came crashing down around him with a huge noise]

[There was a whir of mechanical wings in the medbay as Bombshell crawled out of the ceiling vent in bug mode and flew down to the floor.

It was somewhere here… under a storage cabinet… In the floor itself? He began to bite pieces from the cabinet base and floor tiles to clear them out of the way]

[No such skittering metal body met the human’s beam this time.

Higher above and in a different part of the base, Bombshell caught a whiff of what he was searching for.

Allspark energy.

The Insecticon bit into the grate in the ceiling that blocked his path and tore it away to be consumed]

[With steady taps of his altmode legs, Bombshell climbed up into the maze of ceiling vents. He spied out through the slats at the rooms of the base as he came to them. The opossums which the Insecticon had located so far had been delicious. But he was looking for something else]

[The sound of movement inside the vents quieted]

for a human to enter easily, with plenty of head space]

[The light catches on strange looking paneling and an articulated strut that do not match with the metal of the interior vents. With a flurry of movement, the metal obstruction scurries away from the flashlight beam and down one of the side paths.

The vents themselves are large enough—

[The noises in the vents have gotten louder]

[Stands up again, radiating at the praise]
It is very powerful, even as small amounts!

[After a few nanokliks, Bombshell takes a small jar out of subspace and holds it up to his mask. Two drops of rather thick pink energon drip from the front slat in the mask. Still very proud, Bombshell holds the jar out to the Cassetticon]

Insecticon honey.

[Is wordlessly proud while chewing, his segmented optic band shining. He sits down after consuming the traitor and begins to glow a little more pink]

[His mask snaps open briefly, so quick what’s behind it only looks like a blur of sharp denta, and eats the traitor fish cracker. Crunching noises come from behind his mask]

Honey from a traitor…

[Stares at Wasp’s optics and reaches to poke a pointy digit at the green mech’s helm decoration that kind of looked like antennae, then tilted his head questioningly, noticing transport kibble]

Maybe you’re not a bug? Weird smell.

Okay. It will become two drops of honey.

…I could only eat their tails?

A wasp is a bug. You smell like a bug.

Another bug.

We can come eat them.

Definitely snacks.
