When rap3, racism & misogyny isn't a deal breaker it says a lot about your character.

I hate that our sisters have to describe their trauma for people to understand that abuse comes in so many forms & it builds in intensity like a storm. Believe Black Women.

The message to victims is clear in the Diddy verdict: no amount of proof is enough.

A video showing him dragging her and beating her as she tried to escape. Tapes of him assaulting her. None of it was enough

And yet, I am so proud of Cassie. She dealt a death blow he will never fully recover from

This entire criminal process started when our client Cassie Ventura had the courage to file her civil complaint in November 2023,” says Wigdor. β€œAlthough the jury did not find Combs guilty of sex trafficking Cassie beyond a reasonable doubt, she paved the way for a jury to find him guilty of transportation to engage in prostitution. By coming forward with her experience, Cassie has left an indelible mark on both the entertainment industry and the fight for justice. We must repeat – with no reservation – that we believe and support our client who showed exemplary courage throughout this trial. She displayed unquestionable strength and brought attention to the realities of powerful men in our orbit and the misconduct that has persisted for decades without repercussion. This case proved that change is long overdue, and we will continue to fight on behalf of survivors.”

Love for survivors, always.

Idgaf what the verdict says. Just because a perpetrator is "not found guilty" doesn't mean they didn't spend years emotionally, sexually, physically, psychologically being abusive with just about everyone they came in contact with, children included.

Right down to the language being used (labelling survivors as "prostitutes") to the online & irl jokes we read and hear about (baby oil, freak offs, etc.), our trauma continues to be for shits and giggles in this rape apologist of a society. And we need to do better.

Along with previous ones, thi case & trial has shown us repeatedly that predators (esp rich/privilege) have and will always be protected by the very system that is supposed to "protect us" but harms us instead. It's functioning the way it was always supposed to.

Now do you see what's wrong with the criminal "justice" system? Why survivors ever rarely come forward? Let this be your reason. But some of y'all will still find ways to justify the harms your fave committed.

Go spend your energy on supporting survivors rather than making a mockery out of us.

BREAKING: A federal court ruled there's no legitimate basis for Mahmoud Khalil's continued detention, and that it's unconstitutional for the Trump administration to use vague foreign policy grounds to deport people.

This is a win for free speech. We won't stop fighting until Mahmoud is released.

This all comes with so many uncomfortable feelings and heavy work; exactly how colonizers wanted it to be. I don't even know anything about my dad's side of the family and what part of India they were from. All I know is that this identity crisis continues to be lonesome.

Intergenerational trauma continues to exist in many shapes and forms. Im so heavily disconnected from my South Indian culture & I hope one day that I get to connect with my roots and learn the language, the food, the music, the dance, everything that comes with this lost lineage.

The indentured labour system impacted many Indians. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures or documents of my Nani's grandfather, who was a slave taken from the British empire from Madras (now Chennai), put on a boat and shipped on dark, rough seas, sailing to a land he's never heard of.

Growing up Indo-Fijian, my identity is something I've always (and still do) struggled with. I've never felt Indian enough for the Indian community and never Fijian enough for the Fijian community. In every space, I always tried to find someone who was exactly like me for comfort & reassurance.

So grateful for community and this event for Indo-Fijians. Felt so reconnected to my roots and to be able to honour my ancestors in a space like this where intergenerational trauma continues to exist bc of displacement & colonial violence post-slavery through the Indentured Labour System.

Israel now admits its genocidal aims in Gaza. Will the world keep looking away? Since Trump's return, Israel has dropped all pretenses of self-defense. But even as it evades accountability, it has cemented its legacy as a global pariah.

Top Israeli officials have stated numerous times their intent to commit genocide in Gaza, but the US and other world powers have failed to hold Israel accountable.

The US must stop arming Israel with Americans’ tax dollars and put sanctions on Israel immediately.
