We had a great time seeing the β€ͺβ€ͺ@coschoolofmines.bsky.social‬ Direct Potable Reuse trailer while it's stationed locally in Redwood City! We're excited to collaborate with Prof. Cath's and Prof Fierro's team at Mines on software to better represent pilot and full-scale treatment system data.

πŸ‡ Increasing four crops to peak Crop Water Productivity efficiency could meet up to 36% of the estimated annual groundwater overdraft in San Joaquin Valley.
🎯 Targeting investments to the least efficient fields identified via satellite data could amplify the potential water savings of state grants.

We use FDA to estimate planting dates in the U.S. corn belt - reducing prediction error by 20% and improving curve-fitting vs univariate inputs. We relate FDA coefficients to physical mechanisms indicative of planting time (vegetation density, land surface temp, soil moisture) (2/2)
