Libraries raised me. Libraries are third spaces. Libraries are so much more than just books… libraries are community. Libraries teach us, encourage us to come together in joy, to come together to help our neighbors. Libraries know there are times where we turn up the volume on our library voice 💚

Again, no idea what I honestly think for myself. It remains that I have more questions than answers. Thus, I believe it’ll help me, and importantly others. So, this librarian is continuing the journey… 💚

Met with my new psychiatrist and after going over my mental health journey (which my friend believes in a PowerPoint to deliver such history and I LOVE IT) they asked, “You might want to try another assessment for autism? You don’t have to, but always know it’s an option that can happen.”

There is a crisis in Gaza. They are starving. They need you, need us! 💔

No child, no one should go hungry. Feeling helpless is a response of human kindness. Doing something is a response of human kindness. Using your voice is a response, it is human kindness.

This is not political, this is human ❤️‍🩹

Across the nation, libraries are laying off library workers, closing on weekends or entirely, stopping the ordering of new materials, eliminating summer reading programs ❤️‍🩹

This week is #ALA25 #ALAAC25. I planned to be there before my #IMLS grant was terminated. It hurt, but in the words of Dr. Carla Hayden, librarians are "fiesty fighters of freedom." Hold my books b/c she reignited my fire.
