This is nuts. We shouldn’t have to be fighting needless battles like this. So annoying. Just like the coal mine farce, mad ideas like this just get in the way of sensible policy making for improving lives and dealing with climate.

Revealed: 5,000 English nature sites at risk under Labour’s planning proposals Exclusive: Planning bill includes mechanism for developers to ‘pay to pollute’ valuable ecosystems, experts warn

“Imagine flattening an irreplaceable grade I listed building like the Royal Albert Hall, replacing it with karaoke machines in various towns & then telling the public this is a ‘win-win’ for architecture & music” - brutally accurate analogy from @ruthtingay.bsky.social @wildjustice.bsky.social

If 70% of UK land is farmed, how can you restore nature without funding nature-friendly farming?

A digitally created quiz show-style graphic titled Nature or No Nature.
Rachel Reeves stands at a glowing blue podium labelled with her name and the show title. Behind her, the screen reads: “If 70% of UK land is farmed, how can you restore nature without funding nature-friendly farming?” The design mimics a high-stakes TV quiz show, spotlighting the question with dramatic lighting and a sci-fi style blue backdrop to heighten the pressure.

Welcome back to Nature or No Nature!

Rachel Reeves, your own experts say nature-friendly farming is vital for our food security, wildlife, & climate.

Yet we hear you're set to slash the very funding it relies on.

With the clock ticking, and our future to play for, can you answer this question...

‘Half the tree of life’: ecologists’ horror as nature reserves are emptied of insects A new point in history has been reached, entomologists say, as climate-led species’ collapse moves up the food chain even in supposedly protected regions free of pesticides

When warnings of Insectageddon were issued a few years ago, there was widespread denial. Less so now. It's devastating. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Bottom trawling isn't just hugely destructive – it’s also unsustainably expensive. 💸

A ban in the UK’s offshore marine protected areas could deliver up to £3.5 billion in benefits over 20 years, while being 3X cheaper to enforce!

It's time for a ban 👉 act.for-the-ocean.org/act/protect-...

So, Why Are Britain’s Energy Bills So High? What are the real reasons we're paying more than other countries for our energy?

Following my recent appearance on #GBNews, in which I called out the corruption of the fossil-fuel-owned ‘news’ outlet, I thought it best to do a deep-dive on just why UK #energy bills are so high. Read now!

A headline from The Guardian reads: “Fund for nature-friendly farming to be slashed in UK spending review.” Below it, a line of bright green tractors ploughs wide, bare furrows into a large field. The image underscores the scale of UK farming and the warning that vital support for restoring nature is about to be cut.

The warning couldn’t be clearer. ⚠️

Slashing the nature-friendly farming budget would be catastrophic for the nature and climate crisis, and for our long-term food security.

What's more, it would leave the UK Government’s credibility on climate and nature in tatters.

You couldn’t make it up - this is the same government that promised to deliver significant nature recovery - yet once again they’re slashing key nature funding & massively undermining farmers in the process. Madness

Sea level will rise fast even if we limit global warming to 1.5°C Satellite observations show the ice sheets are melting faster than expected, and slowing sea level rise to a manageable rate would require lowering the global temperature below the current level

As the world is about to blast 🔥 past 1.5C, we're realising that even if we did somehow limit warming to 1.5 it wouldn't be nearly enough prevent catastrophic sea level rise 🌊 of several metres over the coming centuries, warn @jlbamber.bsky.social‬ and co 🧪

Sign the Petition Protect bluefin tuna in UK waters

In 3 months, bluefin tuna will be migrating back into our waters, where they'll be met with a fleet of commercial and recreational* fishers. It's a horrible way to welcome these magnificent, charismatic creatures. Let's try to get this to 250,000 before they arrive.

Fish flee for their lives in rare, chilling video of bottom trawling The never-before-seen footage of sea creatures struggling in fishing nets is featured in National Geographic’s new documentary Ocean with David Attenborough.

"Destruction approaches, all the creatures in its path scramble [...] fleeing for their lives. [But] they can't outpace it. It looms closer & closer until it swallows them up."

Reads like a horror film, but it's Nat Geo's article on bottom trawling. 1/2
