Giant glaciers pulverised Earthโ€™s ancient rocks, setting the stage for complex life Hundreds of millions of years ago, rocks crushed under kilometres of ice injected vital nutrients into Earthโ€™s oceans.

Rocks from 700 million years ago hold the clues. From glaciers bulldozing landscapes to meltwater rivers flushing chemical elements into the oceans = itโ€™s a story of how land, sea, and sky are all geochemically connected. theconversation.com/giant-glacie...

I had a similar situation in which the editor said โ€œother people have replied alreadyโ€ for a week later they send me another invite for the same manuscript. Certainly inappropriate, but not uncommon I guess. Be mindful about the journals you review to as well. Sorry that happened to you mate.
