"woke is back" is beyond incorrect at the moment. the planet has never been more nationalist in its history. for this aspirational future to come about it basically requires the construction of a political form beyond "everything-is-a-nationalism" that can be truly postnationalist

i dont wanna be mean but we are nowhere near "woke". very little in the 2010s was truly genuinely progressive in a liberatory way. it's all aspiration and that's good but you need to be clear eyed about what you want to build

things will get better but people genuinely underestimate the amount of casual fascism even progressives are accepting and internalizing in the present. tbh. that is to say of course things will oscillate
