The shows often broke the fourth wall and engaged in metacommentary about their own status as cultural objects. Yìchén has bootleg DVDs of both series, even though it could get him fired, or worse. As a fictional character whose job it is in the Eleventh Bureau to monitor American culture, Yìchén simply cannot resist Shandling’s postmodern self-reflexive sensibilities.

Man… I went to see the band KNOWER last weekend without ever hearing them before and I must say: they’re pure fucking math. No note nor beat out of place. A real satisfying brain scratch. Had a blast, and the crowd was super diverse esp. in terms of age. There was a 70+ guy in the front going ham..

That means specifically thinking about how we can bring ICE KYR trainings to union locals, working with unions to train their members on how to run for office, and bringing unions together to discuss our plan for 5/1/28

We have a triple-header in 2028, with UAW’s May 1 General Strike, June presidential primaries & July Olympics. There’s SO much to do before then to prepare for all three, but we absolutely mustn’t neglect UTLA’s contract fight in the meantime

Everything is labor, so we should be everywhere!
