First page of a digitally illustrated fan comic of Spamton and Tenna from Deltarune, depicted post-canon. The first panel shows Spamton in his puppet form cowering behind a slightly hurt Tenna, both of them in what appears to be a double battle against an unseen opponent. Their health bars are visible, Spamton’s being untouched at 600 health points while Tenna’s is sitting at half health with 2750 points. Tenna remarks sheepishly- “well, folks, this could be going a bit better” before suddenly being interrupted by the unseen attacker swinging a sword right at Tenna’s screen from above. Tenna yells out an “oh fudge” in anticipation of the blow, however the sword is abruptly stopped on a dime with a loud clang as a spiked robotic arm extends to intercept it in a clawed grip, the impact cracking the blade. Instantly, a shrieking ringing sound announces the appearance of a glowing countdown screen, the style of it closely referencing the countdown screens from the anime Neon Genesis Evangelion for when one of the mechas is disconnected from a power source and begin running on internal battery. The screen reads 4 minutes, 49 seconds and 30 miliseconds, as well as other text such as “active time remaining”, “Neo” and “pause spew wreck”

Continuing from the previous image in the post, it is revealed that the person that stopped the blade is Spamton in his NEO body - drawn with a lot of robotic and mecha design elements, his proportions much more elongated than his usual puppet body. The first panel is dark and backlit with a searing red as NEO hisses air and exhales puffs of smoke, a long monstrous tongue dangling from his jaws as Spamton’s body adjusts to the abrupt and extreme transformation. Suddenly, his head snaps up and he begins laughing, making eye contact with the unseen attacker and crumbling the blade in his grip to shards as he speaks - “fewer seconds than last time, huh? No matters into my own hands”. The final panel shows Spamton NEO and a freshly healed Tenna standing side by side, now equally threatening as their full health bars read 4809 and 5500 respectively. Tenna is rolling up one of his shirt sleeves with a taunting grin and a no signal visual on his screen while Spamton extends his arms out dramatically, announcing- “we will finish this before the curtain call”. The time counter behind them has reduced to 4 minutes, 37 seconds and 19 milliseconds.

Who ordered a bad Evangelion reference. Anyone?

The combo of @/fconvicted ‘s Spamtenna duo battle art and the latest chapter of The Fic introducing the idea of NEO possibly being dormant in Spam’s code inspired this. He’s untargetable til Tenna hits half health and then hell breaks loose
