Starting today with a budget bin find. Pretty good condition despite being from 1966.
Ella Fitzgerald - The Best Of Ella Fitzgerald.

I liked nerdy stuff, but I am horrible at talking about it.
Starting today with a budget bin find. Pretty good condition despite being from 1966.
Ella Fitzgerald - The Best Of Ella Fitzgerald.

Listening to another shelf worn record that was pressed before I was born.
The Beatles - Abbey Road.

Starting today with another record that I have a hard time removing the shrink wrap from. I just enjoy the old stickers on some of their packaging too much to completely remove it.
Warren Zevon - Transverse City.

After troubleshooting a black screen from a game capture device where the solution turned out to be ยฏ\_(ใ)_/ยฏ after doing the same thing like three times in a row... I decided to listen to another of the Parking Lot Records.
Alberta Hunter - Remember My Name (Original Soundtrack Recording)
#vinyl
Starting today with a "happy accident" record that got shipped to me by accident when ordering something else. This is the 2015 Music on Vinyl Limited Edition "Black/White Marbled" release. No idea how many of these were pressed.
Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry.
#vinyl
Starting today with one of the Parking Lot Records. I'm guessing this pencil signature on the back belongs to the previous owner. Feel free to tell them I have it if anyone recognizes their name.
The Supremes - Where Did Our Love Go.
#vinyl
One of the more interesting blind buys I picked up. I guess this could be called "Electronic Blues."
Nicolas Repac - Black Box.
#vinyl
Haven't used the turntable in a few days, so today I am listening to some Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin fame to make up for that.
Robert Plant - Pictures at Eleven.
#vinyl
Listening to another soundtrack, but this one is mostly just Simon & Garfunkel. And despite knowing of this movie, I can't say that I have seen it from start to finish (I'm sorry).
The Graduate (Original Sound Track Recording)
#vinyl
Starting today's listening with a soundtrack to a film I've never watched and is like 80% Sting.
Brimstone & Treacle (Original Soundtrack Album)

Time for some more modern listening (this one is only 20ish years old) of some Austrian downtempo electronic music.
MUM - The Szabotnik 15 Mission.
#vinyl
Giving one of the older Parking Lot Records a first listen to this morning. The crate I found was mostly late 70s stuff, but it had a few things from the 60s in it.
Gene Pitney - It Hurts To Be In Love.
#vinyl
Now listening to something a wee bit more modern.
DJ Scientist - For Better, For Worse.
#vinyl
Listening to another heavily shelf worn record.
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Electric Ladyland.
#vinyl
Listening to this now, and I was curious why the vocalists sounded oddly familiar. Turns out it's the same people from a band I listened to last week (Ian and Sylvia).
Great Speckled Bird - Great Speckled Bird.

From early 70s bleep-bloops, to 2010 Heavy Metal.
The Sword - Warp Riders.
#vinyl
Starting today with one of the least Kraftwerk looking Kraftwerk albums.
Kraftwerk - Ralf & Florian.
#vinyl
And another 2xLP to listen to this Saturday, but this time one that went overboard with packaging and released in a book format.
Pretty Lights - A Color Map of the Sun.
#vinyl
I am not the biggest fan of the trend where double LPs had both records slid into a single sleeve like this release. Album is still good despite cheaping out on the packaging, though.
RJD2 - The Colossus.
#vinyl
Now for some early Raymond Watts of KMFDM fame. I don't often come across Waxtrax (Pre TVT) records in the wild.
Pig - A Poke In The Eye...
#vinyl
Upon further inspection, it seems like someone might have sleeve swapped this record before I found it in a used record store budget bin. The Super Saver sticker seems to be a 1985 release, while the matrix code on the actual record matches a 1978 pressing.
29.03.2025 12:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I should probably remove the decaying shrinkwrap from some of these budget bin finds, but I sort of enjoy the old stickers on them.
The Cars - The Cars.
#vinyl
Now listening to an album with one of the more readable black metal band names:
Borknagar - Quintessence.
#vinyl
Listening to the not "crazily expensive" version of this next:
Bruce Springsteen - Born to Run.
#vinyl
Up next is the solo album from Jimi Goodwin of The Doves.
Jimi Goodwin - Odludek.

Another Parking Lot record. I was going to try this one out yesterday, but the record was incredibly filthy and I just left it out to dry instead. I think this might be the first time I've heard the original version of I Am Woman.
Helen Reddy - I Am Woman.
#vinyl
Up next is the second to last album put out by French pop star Jacques Higelin before he passed in 2018.
Jacques Higelin - Beau Repaire.
#vinyl
Time for something a little bit more modern. I forgot this was the 45 RPM Misprint version and thought my turntable was malfunctioning again.
Ghost - If You Have Ghost.
#vinyl
Some late 1960s Folk is up next:
Ian and Sylvia - So Much For Dreaming.
#vinyl
Someone in marketing thought it was a good idea to release a confusing compilation album that combined tracks from his first two albums while giving it the album title of his second album.
Joe Cocker - With A Little Help From My Friends.
