As a #Cancucks fan, I have certainly derived amusement from clowning on the Leafs.

But for all the years the two teams have overlapped in the NHL, they’ve won a combined zero cups.

I would prefer somebody else — willing to use what’s left of this season developing the young guys — but that isn’t happening.

I’m more worried about *next* season, since it isn’t clear to me that the #Canucks plan to move on.

Not quite the shutout I expected, but #Canucks were overwhelmed by a superior Dallas club. Outshout 37-14, outscored 6-1. Played a decent first period, but 2 Dallas goals in 1:10 in the middle of the second ended the illusion that this was a competitive game.

In *this* season. The #Canucks are going to suddenly be competitive next season.

#Canucks played a good first period against Dallas. Their power play looked competent for the first time in recent memory. Got the first goal off the rush, only to leave the period tied after a wacky bounce off the end boards results in a fluke goal for the Stars.

I’ve been watching Habs games and Sharks games whenever I can. Both teams are creative and a lot of fun. I was watching the Wild, bc of Quinn, but not anymore. Limiting myself to just #Canucks games is too depressing.

This low(er) wage workforce boosted profits even while keeping prices down. Remove these workers and prices have to go up.

It was always about the exploitation and never about the illegality, or they would have arrested the people and firms who employed undocumented workers.

Prices will rise bc the people being deported accept low(er) wages in physically demanding / unpleasant jobs (construction, landscaping, meat processing, kitchen work) bc of their legal vulnerability. And even low US wages were better than what they could expect at home.
