Important article by good colleagues: «The Paris Agreement risks an «ambition trap» whereby policy makers pledge ever more ambitious targets without willingness or capability to ensure these targets’ implementation»

1/3 A central question in institutional political science is, who governs? A central question in political sociology is, which social groups govern? In a new @bjpols.bsky.social , @chknutsen.bsky.social , @sirianned.bsky.social , @magnusrasmussen.bsky.social take a novel approach to these questions.

Hallo, Norge!

EU + closest friends, including the UK, Norway, and Switzerland, have around 20 times the GDP and 5 times the population of Russia. We need to stand up, while the US finds its soul.

This is a great figure. For all the doom & gloom about climate inaction, we have made a big dent over the past 25 years.
What started out as 3.5-4°C increase by 2100 is now down to 2-3°C. Of course, more work is urgently needed but this is progress! We don't let up now. h/t @hausfath.bsky.social

I've seen so many great starter packs, but I've yet to encounter one on int'l organizations and cooperation. So, I made one. It is no doubt incomplete, but I hope you find it helpful nonetheless. Feel free to circulate and, if you have suggestions on who to add, send them my way! go.bsky.app/RbHqH38

Still testing if it works but there’s now an IPE/CPE feed for folks who are in polisky already! It’s ipesky or cpesky or cipesky. First time I do any of this so I’m very open to suggestions (starting from the feed’s avatar!). Please help advertising it!
