Great report from @jacksonwryan.com about this mess. To show you all how frustrating this has been -- ClickOut Media's GamesHub still lists me as an active "Games & Tech Editor", and I'm placed alongside their fake AI 'writers'. I've asked them to stop, but these sites are desperate for credibility.

In May '25, a beloved Australian games website was sold off. It went dark then, a month later, rose from the dead but stuffed full of gambling links and AI authors.

It wasn't the first time, or the last time, this exact thing had happened. And it's still happening.

I could save myself a lot of trouble if I simply called Blades of Vengeance a Souls-like. It has secret rooms full of treasure, blocking, fall-damage, and a crossbow.

You can't cartwheel through empty crates, but you can pretend the chests are mimics while striking them.

The final stage is outright mean.
Every few steps leads to another ambush, and it'll take some serious trial & error to get past them all.

The difficulty doesn't feel right, IMO.
It's like an arcade game that needed a location test.

Figured it's as good an excuse as any to watch The Great Piggy Bank Robbery. Daffy Duck gunning down the entire rogues' gallery is an all-time great scene.
