I want to just disable it and then leave it up on Itchio, but I feel like removing it this close to launch might not be wise. I also don't want people's first impression being 'that', lol. I dunno...

If I made a game that was too difficult, I would way rather people mod it and enjoy it rather than completely drop it or have a terrible time
threw in the towel, made it to act 2, played for another 2 hours and just said nah. I'll play it modded a few months from now when life is less stressful

I really do love hollow knight, but Nerrel does a fantastic job articulating why the game took me 6 years to actually start enjoying it- and the same criticisms being amplified now in silksong
It really is just a numbers issue across the board, and could easily be patched or modded. The world and combat is fantastic, it just needs to not be so needlessly brutal and stingy

Hornet's move set has a higher skill floor than the knight, so it feels slightly awkward at first, but having just defeated the first "real boss", once you're decent it feels fantastic. Just great game feel
-Enemies should stay dead forever, or until you leave the "zone" entirely. I.E. If I kill the chozo ghosts in chozo ruins, they should not come back until I have gone to, say, magmoor caverns and then returned. The stealth pirates in prime 2 are somehow even worse than this, they respawn so fast

game is made of problems but i still love it... i accept my situation that i'll have to replay it AGAIN in a couple years...
-If you scan a pickup you can't grab yet, it should appear on the map so you can go back and get it

-Never, ever change the music while in an area unless you're fighting a boss. Never use the space pirate battle music ever.
-Design the world to flow instead of using hints as a crutch
