The one that really gets me is the fake 'progress' images. Where they've got the 'finished' piece and a bunch of WIP, including the initial sketch which is a perfect overlay of the final with zero changes made to the composition, pose ect and it's all perfect with no roughness.

Coming to terms with the results is the hard part.

A lot of people putting up the flags in my area, when questioned as to why, cite supporting Tommy Robinson as the reason. Which says it all I think.

It getting physical is definitely eyebrow raising. Verbal abuse and threats have been pretty much par for the course in my area when it comes to trying to remove the flags. I haven't seen anyone assaulted..yet. What you've been subjected to is extreme for sure.

And honestly, it just being about the flags is beside the point. You had bricks thrown through your window, you could have been seriously injured or worse, why does it matter why? There's no justification on earth for that.

Jesus Christ...I hope you can get out of there quick. What a disgusting display of the depths these people have sunk. Are the police at least taking this seriously now? Infuriating that they wouldn't do anything that may have prevented this.

Art is wild because you'll be stuck working on the same part over and over for hours and then you make one random extremely frustrated line and you'll be like "... wait... 👀" and it'll fix everything.

I got to watch Wake Up Dead Man on the big screen tonight and um...is there a term similar to "I feel like I was hit by a truck." but in a good way? Cuz that's what I'm feeling.

Tumblr user nocryptographer: I talked with someone who works in book publishing, and they mentioned they get a lot of AI slop these days. I asked how they know what's human-written, and they said that there's one thing that will reveal AI slop without error, and that's the author not knowing their own creation. A real author can talk about their story for hours. They love to elaborate every character, every twist, every detail. Because those existed in their head long before they ever made it to the paper. They were loved before they were written. AI slop wasn't. It was just vomited into existence. Someone who generates their story with AI will never bond with their story the way real writers do. That's why they may not know what to say when they're asked why did the character do this, or even remember the scene in the first place. It's something they read, not something they wrote. And to a writer, those are not the same. There's a unique bond between the creator and the creation. If your writing doesn't come of you, you'll always lack that. I keep hearing soon we won't be able to tell. And perhaps, in a superficial sense, that's true. But there is a difference. It's not em dashes or repeated words. It's whether the story was made by someone who loves it and cares about it. If the writer's eyes light up when asked why did the character do that? and they start their very own Ted Talk about that specific scene... then it's real.
