The pain isn't so bad today if I don't touch it. The past few days it was SPICY though 😅

I don't think I'll be finishing the pair of socks I was going to gift for this upcoming winter holiday. I burned the hell out of my hand after smashing a pointer finger and knitting is impossible

We're about half way through this snow storm and there is about 5 1/2 inches of snow on the ground. I predict it will stall at around 9 inches.

I know how to cook for myself and that helps a LOT. I've seen people with similar diets who don't know how to cook and they are suffering lol

I won't have to cook again for a few days and I'll have turkey to freeze and the carcass to make into broth! Perfect for soup season 😁

I wish it was just gluten. But it's wheat allergy (tested confirmed by a Dr.). 😢
Same with dairy. Not lactose, but dairy.

I grew up in a vegetarian house, so I never had it until I was probably in my 20's after I started eating meats. Hated the texture. I only started liking it in the last few years, but finding a gluten free option is rough. (allergic to wheat)

I'll be making :
A turkey
Mashed potatoes with garlic and bacon
Green bean casserole
Candied yams
Dressing
Gravy
Deviled eggs
Ham and green onion wraps.

All gluten free and dairy free.

I don't do "Thanksgiving".
But I definitely enjoy Gluttony Day! I cook a ridiculous amount of food. No family. No friends (I don't have any where I live now). Just me, and if my roommate feels like eating some.
Sounds mildly sad, but I know for sure I won't get sick! (food allergies)

I've always stuffed my bird with garlic, onions, and lemons after adding the fat and herb rub to the inside. But I have never really liked stuffing/dressing 😅
(I haven't made a lousy turkey in decades lol)

I learned that when you no longer live in a place that has really good Mexican (or Korean, Japanese, Indian), you learn to make it. No crappy restaurant versions for me! I'll learn to make it like someone's grandma in her own kitchen! 😁

They are super tasty and ridiculously quick to make.
15 min tops. Boom! Cookies! I make them on the smaller side so they bake more evenly. So make your dough balls about the size of an eyeball 😅😁

You should! If you bake them on parchment paper they peel right off. Just let them cool for 10-15 minutes. When they come out of the oven they are super soft and don't feel like they are done. Don't believe their lies! If they look matte on top they're done, glossy give them a couple more min 😁

When I am not feeling super nice I make 3 ingredient peanut butter cookies.

1 egg, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of peanut butter. Roll into balls, smush them with the heel of your hand, then criss cross with a fork. 10-12 min at 350°
