15-ish minute Ekko doodle because I needed to draw him or I was going to go insane 💚
I'm trying to become a semi-pescatarian (allowing fowl) due to health and medical reasons so I've been trying to learn new recipes and converting other things to using fish or turkey/chicken. Instead I've started eating so many sweet potatoes

Like these things are like $200 and shit now. I was like naw, I gotta fix it lmfao
I have a limited edition Forza controller (it looks cool which is why I got it lmfao) and a cat got scared of a dog barking and knocked over a mug of coffee and it got all over the controller, destroyed the motherboard and everything. I bought some cheap pawn shop controllers and fixed it.
I saw this little dude with a fucked up ass head when I jogged to the store for something I forgot and he was on sale for 1.50 so I said fuck it, he's coming home with me.
Yeah, especially as controllers are so fucking expensive these days. I fixed X-Box controllers and heard PS5 ones were easier to deal with so I said fuck it, I'll try and it was amazingly simple in comparison
I'll see. I'd even be happy with computer repair ngl lmfao
I was kinda wishing I had a neon green one too because that would have looked sick asf but I'm happy with how they came out and I got them actually working. One had a dead battery, another the square button didn't work and another the left on the D-Pad didn't work.
I should have gotten a job where I could tinker with machinery and shit because I like messing with shit lmfao
I couldn't figure out how to take the touchpads off or else I could have changed those around. They seem pretty stuck in there so I just let them be
I was like fuck it, while I'm gutting all of them, might as well lmfao
Started with 4 broken controllers. Came out with 3 working.
Much easier to deal with than the X-Box controllers honestly
New skill acquired
I haven't been around much due to medical issues and also intense insomnia. I'm just really sleepy all the time lmfao
I did try to gently scrape off the glue with a pair of very, very, very tiny tweezers and it's really stubborn and stuck on there. I might try to soak the figure in warm water and try again and see if that helps at all
A magic eraser is essentially sand paper that's very fine. The idea is to cut off a very small piece of it and then sand off the glue slowly. I feel like the eraser would be more gentle than actual sand paper, but I rather not go that route as the glue spots are REALLY small and in odd locations.
Like the paint job isn't amazing in the first place (its originally a $70 figure and it's a 1/9 scale so like lmfao
I read that you can sand ofd super glue with a magic eraser but I'm not sure how confident I am in doing that lmfao
Yipee. Think I did a pretty decent job. He's missing a little paint on his sword bat but that would take using an air brush to repair. I fixed a bit of it by hand and it's not noticeable unless you're shoving the figure against your eye. There's super glue but I'm not sure how to remove that safely
Omega finally gave me the nodules in Wilds. I'm free. I don't have to do the fight anymore. Now to fight Gogma repeatedly and cry about RNG.
Yeah, like the paint is just missing on his face paint and Mohawk. He has super glue on him but like...I'm not even going to bother removing it because that's an entirely different issue altogether and it isn't super noticeable. I can't complain when I paid $40 for a $200+ figure lmfao
I really wish we had a hobby shop because I'd just take him with me and ask but best we got is Michael's. I'm still going to have to take him with me because the color is like a greyish-white so I have to color match somehow lol
We unfortunately only have like Michael's here. They sell Gunpla and model kit paint though so I might go have a look
Oh, Michael's literally has that brand of paint and I can walk there, lmfao. I'll have to sse what colors they have. That paint is like a grey-white shade. I wish they would have used straight up white because it would be far easier
The original paint job isn't fantastic so it's alright if it isn't perfect. The color itself is like an off white/greyish white in the 10% or maybe even 20% range. But okay! That's good to know that I won't have to buy anything too expensive to try to touch it up. Thank you
I just really want to touch his his warpaint and mohawk
He also has super glue on him but I know super glue is like notoriously hard to remove from a figure as it can rub off paint and all sorts of shit.
