Sometimes I'm kind of baffled by the insane levels of mischaracterization Adventure Time gets but then I remember there are a concerning number of fans who skip episodes or even entire seasons they think is "filler"
That, or they get all their info from tiktok.
I feel like the anti-filler (which is really just anti-episodic) mindset has always been kind of baffling to me because nowadays people want every episode to be some big, plot shaking event. No time for mundane, low stakes storytelling i guess.
