Just thinking about the brief collective fever dream that was "vehicular combat" games.

Used to be men would climb up into comical wheel contraptions and mount rocket launchers to their bare shoulders to do battle with skeletons on motorcycles, or a clown with a transforming ice cream truck/mecha.

that whole genre just kinda passed me by and I don't know why

like, I was definitely AWARE of Twisted Metal and the like back then, but for whatever reason, I just never looked into any of them 🤷‍♂️ (does it count that I played a demo of Star Wars: Demolition?)

I sometimes hear about PS2 Slim models' ribbon cables damaging discs.

Thankfully, I haven't encountered that in the 13-14 years I've owned mine--maybe I'm just one of the "lucky ones"--but I wonder if there's some kinda preventative maintenance I can do to stay on top of this, just in case? 🤔

I made an animation!!! Entirely in @krita.org minus the sound.

Be advised: This is exactly as complex and long as a Krita animation can be... because it ran out of memory while I was adding her freckles in the final pass. But it -never once- dropped a frame in playback, unlike Clip STUPIDo.
