I'm disappointed that Trump hasn't unearthed the following quote often (mis?)attributed to Churchill.

True, though some such as Ofcom have considerable resources that they deploy to little effect. There are other reasons why “independent” regulation performs so poorly in the UK. For instance, does Govt appoint the right people and genuinely encourage them to be robust?

I know what you mean and agree, but equally only around 3% of world population would ever migrate. Vast majority prefer to stay close to where they were born. Which also underlines how exaggerated are the fears, as long as we work harder on avoiding the shocks that cause forced migration.
