I haven’t left Meta, though have spent less time there, transferring my addiction to 小红书 (Xiǎohóngshū), aka Red Note.

At first I was a bit offput by the change, then I realized that as 90+% of my posts — and all of my reels, of course — are vertical, my grid looks better now. I don’t think I’ve posted more than a couple square images since soon after the 4x5/5x4 options were offered.

The farthest I’ve driven for fast food was in high school, when we would go from Bloomsburg, PA, to the nearest DQ in Selinsgrove for Flurries.

You can also follow a #meme feed, of course, though I haven’t found any I particularly like.

I haven’t been served many memes either. You may need to follow some meme accounts.

Or perhaps the question is where will TikTok’s short-form video creators go? Back to Insta? IG makes it almost impossible to discover smaller accounts, so not likely. YouTube? Quite possible, though YT would have to add features for Shorts creators and viewers. A new platform?

That has to be frustrating! I was banned from "liking" on IG for double-tapping so fast, they assumed I was using some sort of unapproved app to do it. It was just for a few days, though still annoying!
