We saw that video on yt just now and were awestruck, we want to go see it! Amazing work.

Managed to sit down and do gamedev stuff. Not a lot, but keeping the workstation set up and active for that little hour I might get atm is great. Figuring this out as we go.

Sure, I made death coasters in RTC. Drowned sims. Ran over pedestrians in GTA. Tortured heroes in DK. Robbed houses in Morrowind. Kids do that, and games should let them. But that was always besides the game systems and narratives that practiced some useful skills.

Nephew came to visit & wanted to play the 'goat game'. Yes, goat simulator.

Afterwards I looked to husband: "it shocks me to say it, as a gamer, but our son isn't playing this dumb shite. Or maybe it's *because* we're gamers. That was just awful to see a kid play."

It also eventually brings up very obscure topics searched for on search engines but not on Bluesky.

Went to 2 concerts (Ayreon & Helloween) which featured AI art in background cines & gotta admit: We need GenAI warning labels on concert ticket info, and those tickets are way too expensive to see AI slop.
